What are meeting minutes?

Hello, and welcome to my brand spanking new website Speedy Minutes!

Although my website is new, I am by no means new to taking minutes. I have been working as a virtual assistant for almost three years, specialising in minutes. Out of all the weird and wonderful tasks my clients would throw at me as a virtual assistant, I always seemed to have had a penchant for minute taking. Hey, I guess that must mean I'm a good listener, right!? I noticed there was a gap in the market for a particular minute taking service, and just like that - Speedy Minutes was born!

Here on my website, I have made it easier for you to learn how Speedy Minutes can help you, how much we cost, and how you can get involved. This is a new website, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know!

In the excitement of me setting up Speedy Minutes, many of my friends and family have asked what even are meeting minutes? Is that another corporate adulty lingo term that I have to know about? Never fear; I am here to tell you!

What are meeting minutes?

Meeting minutes are an account of the points, actions, and decisions from a meeting written in a word document. They serve as a legal record as to what took place in a meeting and who attended.

Meeting minutes are not verbatim and instead serve as a concise summary of the business meeting. It is also mandatory for some organisations to have minutes of every meeting.

Understandably, some people may want to remain present in the meeting and not have to be responsible for writing the minutes. Which is exactly why I launched my UK-based minute taking service Speedy Minutes! If you have any other questions about what I do, then do not hesitate to get in touch.
